Spain Residence Routes for Remote Professionals and Highly Qualified Workers
Spain offers different residence routes depending on how you work and where your employer or clients are based. The Digital Nomad Visa (DNV) is designed for eligible non-EU/EEA/Swiss nationals who want to live in Spain while continuing qualifying remote work for foreign companies or clients.
The Highly Qualified Professional (HQP) route is intended for eligible professionals taking up qualifying skilled positions with Spanish employers. Both routes can lead to Spanish residence but their eligibility requirements & work arrangements differ.
